“To develop and maintain a Memorial Park in honor of all past, present and future Veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States of America; to be a place for Veterans, their families and the public to remember, reflect and contemplate the sacrifices of these individuals; and to serve as an educational venue.”

Highlights of 2017
- The 3rd Annual Golf Tournament held on August 26th at the Pagosa Springs Golf Course. “Golf with a Military Slant”
- The Veterans Day Breakfast and Ceremony hosted by the 8th grade class of Pagosa Springs Middle School.
- The Festival of Trees fundraiser on December 1st. Bank of Colorado generously purchased the VMPAC tree.
The Veterans Memorial Park Board of Directors hosted a Groundbreaking Ceremony at the park site on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017. Over 150 dignitaries, veterans, local officials and members of the community attended to participate in activities which included the Color Guard, National Anthem, Flag Raising, Rifle Salute, Taps, the Missing Man Flyover and the official breaking of ground. Much information was provided and a good time had by all. Thank you to everyone who came out and showed their support! Here are a few pictures from the day:
The Veterans Memorial Park is starting to take shape. To date, all of the work done has been donated by local businesses and members of the community. We are so proud and grateful of the support of our community.
