VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK OF ARCHULETA COUNTY MISSION STATEMENT
“To develop and maintain a Memorial Park in honor of all past, present and future Veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States of America; to be a place for Veterans, their families and the public to remember, reflect and contemplate the sacrifices of these individuals; and to serve as an educational venue.”

 

What A Spectacular Day!

The Veterans Memorial Park Board of Directors hosted a Groundbreaking Ceremony at the park site on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017. Over 150 dignitaries, veterans, local officials and members of the community attended to participate in activities which included the Color Guard, National Anthem, Flag Raising, Rifle Salute, Taps, the Missing Man Flyover and the official breaking of ground. Much information was provided and a good time had by all. Thank you to everyone who came out and showed their support! Here are a few pictures from the day:

 Feature of the Month

The Veterans Memorial Park is starting to take shape. To date, all of the work done has been donated by local businesses and members of the community. We are so proud of the support of our community!
